I concluded so, as I am few months back from this impressive place. When I start finding out how do the Cypriots became rich, I came across some interesting facts. It began with the Turkish conquests. Many Cypriots were deprived of their houses, but the government indemned for the residents those damages. For those who moved from north to south, authorities apportioned lands and other facilities. After Cyprus began to develop and prices increased on everything, some Cypriots sold lots or whole properties, making good money on this. Some other began to rent their houses or built hotels or villas on their own land. Such small points gave to Cypriots an opportunity to make their country one of the most successful and desired. Until Englishmen governed this island, it was not on a required level, but the Cypriots themselves set the motherland on its feet. Now Cyprus is mostly a tourist island. The number of hotels, cyprus villas, apartments and agencies is enormous. It even creates another problem: hotels are built everywhere, even in national parks or other cultural zones. But, it seems to me, there is just one hotel in park - Anassa in Polis. Nevertheless, Cyprus is my favorite forever.
